This knob is made of hard, durable kiln-burnt clay, reddish brown in color, and unglazed.

The color is difficult to describe, as it is more brownish than orange or red as you find in most clay pots. It is most similar to brown earthenware.

Hand cast with a pie crust border surrounding a button center. A top quality knob right down to the solid brass threaded insert.
