A customer received a couple of these that had small abrasions or rubbed areas around the edges of the knob, so we promptly replaced them. In examining the replacements that were to go out, we found that this problem may exist in many of these knobs. These are packed in a clear plastic display "bubble" as you typically see in stores. It looks like they have vibrated in shipping against the plastic cover and become slightly "worn". You can save a few bucks by taking them as they come. Who's going to examine your doorknobs anyway?
