Unlike our most US locking bed and bath door knobs this door knob lock does not have an opening on the outside knob for an emergency release of the lock. What this means is once locked it stays locked till unlocked from the inside. More secure, but you may not want it on your kid's bedroom door.

The handle is 2 1/4" diameter. Comes with all the mounting hardware and a template for doors 1 3/8" - 1 5/8" - 1 3/4" thick and a 2 1/8" door hole.
