These wall plates are beauties, but we inspect all our products for quality control,and the samples we pulled contained about 25-30 percent small finish imperfections. We have over 15,000 of these in stock and are, at least for the moment, not inclined to inspect every one of them. I cannot see the imperfections from 2 feet away, and I really believe that nobody would notice once they are installed, but we try very hard not to create headaches for ourselves or our customers. So, you are getting a great price on a very nice plate, and are being notified of what to expect. If unintentional imperfection bothers you, here's what will work very nicely: Using #0000 steel wool and wiping all in one direction you can create a beautiful Distressed Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Take a look at the "distressed" picture. A little elbow grease-- like 10 seconds-- and Viola! And if you are disappointed, send them all back--not just the ones you do not like--for a full product refund as per our return policy. Free standard shipping applies to all retail orders over $100 shipped to the 48 lower United States.*

Up to the point of $100 we have a tiered shipping charge based on order value as follows.

• $4.99 shipping and handling applies to all orders between $0 and $24.99
• $6.99 shipping and handling applies to all orders between $24.99 and $49.99
• $8.99 shipping and handling applies to all orders between $50.00 and $74.99
• $10.99 shipping and handling applies to all orders between $74.99 and $99.99

If you are from AK or HI you will be contacted directly about shipping charges. Smaller, lighter orders may still qualify for the above.
Orders shipped to other countries have more expensive shipping explained below.

The majority of orders ship by USPS Ground Advantage.  (3-5 days delivery to most of the United States). If the package is large, heavy or bulky, we will ship via UPS Ground. If shipping carrier other than our choice is requested, additional charges may result.

If package is returned to us due to address issues or no USPS delivery at the location, customer is responsible for the cost of  shipping for us to ship again. 

A note on packaging: We package our shipments to you in whatever the most appropriate box we have around is for shipping efficiency. Being a distributor we are surrounded by thousands and thousands of boxes and it saves us, you, and the environment to re-use and ship with them. You will not receive a fancy branded box, you'll get well wrapped and packaged hardware in a box that doing it's job a second time.

Express Shipping

Other shipping methods and upgrades such as Next Day Air, Overnight, 2nd Day, 3 Day & out of the country delivery will be billed to you at cost of shipping plus $5.00 for special handling. This will not show up on your order when you place it. This is determined by weight and is added to your bill in our offices. For Expedited shipping you must place a comment stating you want expedited shipping and call our service department at 618-395-3945.

Overnight and other express methods are given priority, but we still must have time to process your order, so the upgraded service you choose takes effect after processing time.

NOTICE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING DELAYS BY UPS & FEDEX BEYOND OUR CONTROL: FROM UPS WEBSITE

Effective 26 March 2020 we suspended the UPS Service Guarantee for all shipments from any origin to any destination. For all U.S. origin shipments, the Service Guarantee suspension became effective as of 24 March 2020.

Effective 5 April 2021 the UPS Service Guarantee will be reinstated only for UPS Worldwide Express services (UPS Worldwide Express Plus, UPS Worldwide Express, UPS Worldwide Express Saver, UPS Worldwide Saver, UPS Worldwide Express Freight Midday and UPS Worldwide Express Freight). The Service Guarantee remains suspended for all other UPS shipments from any origin to any destination..

As the effects of the Coronavirus impact our infrastructure, we will continue to seek guidance from local, state, and national government entities to ensure that we fully align with their regulations. We are committed to continue operating globally except where constrained by government restrictions.

Returns

Returns cost money. We think it is best to charge the responsible parties so that we can keep our prices low to everyone. Companies don't "absorb" costs, they pass them on. When you buy from a company that has no restocking fees, you pay for any frivolous returns that company handles, indirectly, through higher prices.

If we have done something wrong or sent defective merchandise, it is all on us. You get your money back including shipping and handling.

If you decide to return items for any reason other than their being defective, you will be responsible for outgoing costs and return shipping. Our minimum cost to process and ship an order is $8.99. You will be charged a minimum of $9.99 or a 15% restocking fee, whichever is greater. Our helpful staff will make charge determinations as objectively as possible based on individual circumstances. If there is a dispute, please remember that you catch more flies with honey. It is very hard to come to a fair conclusion if we don't each remain cordial. We are typically very understanding.

If, however, you had an order under $100.00 and paid shipping originally, we will deduct what you paid from the $9.99 baseline. Shipping and Handling charge when shipped. If you paid $8.99 or above in shipping for your under $100.00 order, there will be no additional restocking fee as we will simply keep the shipping and handling fees already collected. We believe this to be a reasonable accommodation for small orders.

Three things to consider...

• If an order is refused and returned to us, all shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
• Restocking fees may be cancelled by taking advantage of our exchange policy below.
• Shipping and handling are not refunded. You are responsible for return shipping cost.
